We’ve got exciting news!

We’re taking the next step toward making Harmony Christian Community a reality.

WC Hoecke, founder and executive director of Harmony Christian Community, and the board of directors announce the appointment of Brandon Abbott as its new president/executive director. WC will remain on the board in an advisory capacity.

Brandon Abbott is a lifelong entrepreneur with a passion for the IDD community. Brandon and his wife Ashley operate Bitty & Beaus Coffee on Gervais St. in Columbia, and they own and operate Shiloh at Abbott Ranch located off exit 129 in Swansea. Shiloh is the proposed future home for Harmony Christian Community. 

“I am so thankful for all of our faithful supporters, prayer warriors and friends who have shared our mission and have tracked closely as Harmony developed from an idea to what it is today. I have recently realized that the next step in the life cycle of Harmony is beyond my God-given ability,” said Founder WC Hoecke. “The vision of Harmony is much bigger than one man’s dream and will need each of us taking part in this God-sized dream. ‘God doesn’t ask us to feed the five thousand but asks each of us to bring our loaves and fish’ (Dallas Jenkins, paraphrase).” 

With new administrative leadership, Harmony will move quickly to fulfill the vision and mission that we set in the beginning. We both look forward to combining perspectives to achieve the desired goal, added WC.

Brandon brings a wealth of experience in the fields of development, organizational leadership, and fundraising that all lend themselves to the task of taking this dream and making it a reality.

With a location now available for Harmony, we can expect to move quickly with putting shovels in the ground. We have already signed a master planning agreement with LS3P architectural group and are holding a think tank meeting this Saturday to bring the vision into focus now that we have boundaries to fill. (Thanks to the Unumb Center for Neurodevelopment for hosting our meeting.) 

We are excited about how God has already worked so marvelously, and we remain confident in His empowering us to do this thing that we know is according to Yahweh’s will!
